Best Male Padel Players to Follow in 2026
The men's game has been reshuffled going into 2026: several long-running pairs split up over the off-season, and the new combinations are already shaking up results. Here's who to watch, and who's playing with whom.
Arturo Coello & Agustín Tapia
Still world number one as of August 2026, tied on points with their closest rivals after dominating 2024 and 2025 with 14 and 13 Premier Padel titles respectively. Coello, nicknamed "El Rey", and Tapia, known as "El Mozart de Catamarca" for the fluidity of his game, are covered in more depth in our history of the sport's great pairs.
Alejandro Galán & Federico Chingotto
Known as "Chingalán", this pairing has become Coello-Tapia's most serious rival, winning seven titles in 2025 and becoming the only pair able to beat the world number ones with any regularity. Chingotto, nicknamed "El Súper Ratón" for his relentless defense despite his smaller frame, joined forces with Galán in 2024 after Galán's split from Juan Lebrón.
Juan Lebrón & Leo Augsburger
Lebrón, nicknamed "El Lobo" (the Wolf) for his aggressive, hunched hitting style, became the first Spaniard to reach world number one in November 2019 and remains one of the tour's most talented and media-facing players. His new partner for 2026, Leandro "Leo" Augsburger, is a 21-year-old Argentine born in Posadas, where his parents run a padel club, standing 1.90m and already a two-time Premier Padel title winner (Madrid P1 2025 with Martín Di Nenno, Brussels P2 2026 with Lebrón). The pair reached the Malaga P1 final in 2026, losing to Tapia and Coello.
Franco Stupaczuk & Miguel "Mike" Yanguas
After years paired with childhood friend Martín Di Nenno as the "SuperPibes", Stupaczuk begins 2026 alongside Yanguas, a 2002-born Spaniard from Motril who's been one of the tour's fastest-rising young players since breaking into the top 10.
